Overview

Past secure communication solutions often emphasis solely on device-to-device authentication which does not take into account that network nodes between devices may not be adequately secured. Therefore, in the spirit of zero-trust, it is necessary to extend the authentication scope from device-to-device to the user level, so both confidentiality and integrity of the communication can be ensured.

CypherCom is a secure, anti-eavesdropping end-to-end communication solution, which can be utilized directly on the mobile device without the need of a specialized device. End users can simply connect to the internet and have access to secured VoIP and instant messaging (IM) functionalities including encryptions for voice, photos, videos and files. In addition, CypherCom integrates native contacts on mobile phones, making it both an easy to use and a secure communication alternative.


System Architecture

CypherCom enables secure communication based on “Never trust, always verify” concept of the zero-trust principle. All the software and hardware components are developed by Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) Group. This includes CypherCom Server, APP, Bluetooth token* and FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certified Slim SIM.

CypherCom F2 Plan

CypherCom F2 is a hardware-level end-to-end encryption communication system powered for end-users by CHT Security. Through CypherCom cloud-based service, users can subscribe to the service with their family, friends, and colleagues and receive CypherCom Slim SIMs (hardware secure element) to ensure communication security.

Users can apply for and subscribe to CypherCom accounts (please fill out the form below) with CHT Security, and then CHT Security will provide Slim SIMs, allowing group users to establish a secure hardware-based end-to-end encryption communication.
